Setting up

Set up a ticket panel

Put a panel with buttons in your support channel: one click gives a member a private channel with your team.

A panel is a message with buttons in your server. Members use it to open support tickets. Each click creates a private channel that only the member, your team and administrators can see.

How many panels?

  • The Free plan includes 1 ticket panel, Basic 5 and Premium 20. The number applies per server. Lifetime Basic counts as Basic, Lifetime Premium as Premium.
  • A panel has up to 5 buttons or a select menu with up to 25 ticket types. That’s why one is enough for most servers.
  • If you switch to a smaller plan, your panels stay. You just can’t create new ones.

What you need first (in Discord)

  • A channel for the panel, for example #support.
  • A team role, for example “Support”.
  • Categories for the tickets. Three work best: “Tickets open”, “Tickets in progress” and “Tickets closed”.

How it works

  1. Open TicketsDashboard

Open Tickets in the menu on the left, or the Tickets tab at the bottom on phones. If The ticket system is off appears at the top – on a newly connected server it does at first –, turn it on with the switch next to it. If there are open tickets, the page shows those first; you’ll find the panels at the top under Panels.

  2. Create a panelDashboard

Click Create first panel, later New panel. Above it you see how many panels you have and how many your plan allows.

  3. Give it a nameDashboard

Enter a name at the top under Panel name, for example “Support”. Only you see this name.

  4. Channel and teamDashboard

In the Where does the panel appear? section, choose your support channel under Channel for the panel. Under Team roles, add your team role (up to 10).

  5. Design the messageDashboard

In the Panel message section, write the title and description and pick the color. Under More fields: author, footer, image you can add an image if you like (up to 7 MB). On the right you see live how it will look in Discord.

  6. Ticket typesDashboard

In the Ticket Types section, choose Buttons (up to 5 ticket types) or Select menu (up to 25). Click a ticket type to change its Emoji and Button text, and for the select menu also its description. Add ticket type adds more, for example support, application or unban request.

  7. Ticket foldersDashboard

In the Ticket folders section, choose the category for new ticket channels under New tickets go to, and if you like the categories for claimed and closed tickets. This applies to all ticket types. If one type needs different categories, tick Set different folders for this ticket type for it.

  8. Message in the ticketDashboard

Optional: under Message in a new ticket, write the text that appears in a new ticket. {user} mentions the member. If the field stays empty, the bot posts its default text.

  9. PublishDashboard

Click Publish at the bottom. The panel appears in the chosen channel. Save as draft only keeps your entries in this browser; nothing shows up in Discord yet.

  10. Change it laterDashboard

Open the panel in the list, change something and click Save at the bottom. The message in Discord is updated right away; no second one is added. If you switched the channel, click Save and publish; then delete the old message in Discord. If you only saved after switching the channel, Publish is still shown at the bottom — the panel only appears in the new channel once you click it.

How a ticket works in Discord

  • The member clicks and sees “✅ Your ticket has been created: #…”. The channel is called “ticket-name-number”.
  • The ticket has the buttons “🙋 Claim” and “🔒 Close”.
  • Commands in the ticket channel: /ticket claim, /ticket close, /ticket reopen and /ticket delete. Only managers can claim, reopen and delete.
  • Each member can have one open ticket per panel.
  • When a ticket is closed, the bot always saves a transcript. The member can have it sent by direct message. You read it in the dashboard under Closed Tickets with Transcript.

Check in Discord

  • Click one of the panel’s buttons yourself. A ticket channel is created; try “🔒 Close” in it.
  • To see what it looks like for members, use a second account without a team role.

Common problems

When publishing, The bot is not on this server appears.

Invite the bot with the button next to it: Invite the bot and connect your server.

When saving, Choose a channel for the panel. appears.

Choose a channel under Channel for the panel. The panel name, a title or description and the button text of every ticket type are also required.

New panel shows the plans instead of a new panel.

At the top it says Limit reached; in the Free plan it shows how many panels Basic and Premium allow instead. Your plan doesn’t allow any more panels on this server. Panels that were never published count too. Delete panels you don’t need (open the panel, three-dot menu at the top right, Delete panel), or add more ticket types to an existing panel.

A ticket type shows New tickets: no category.

Under Ticket folders, choose a category under New tickets go to. Otherwise the bot creates the ticket channels without a category.

The member sees “❌ No permission to create the ticket channel.”

The bot is missing permissions. Invite it again with “Administrator” (server switcher › Manage server slots › Re-invite with admin).

The panel has disappeared from Discord.

The next time you click Save, the dashboard reports Message not found; then click Publish at the bottom. Without changes, use the three-dot menu at the top right and Publish again (new message).

Assign role on open doesn’t work.

If there’s a warning below the role, it sits above the bot’s role: Bot doesn’t assign the role.

Where did the log channel and transcript channel go?

Both fields had no effect and have been removed. The bot always saves a transcript when a ticket is closed; you read it under Closed Tickets.
