Invite the bot and connect your server
How Asward-Helper gets onto your Discord server and shows up in the dashboard – with every message you might see and what it means.
Invite the bot, connect your server and set up welcome, auto role, protection and tickets in the setup – step by step, no technical knowledge needed.
This guide gets your server ready in about five minutes. Everything here is included in the Free plan.
When you connect a new server, every module with an on/off switch starts off there, for example tickets, polls or giveaways. You turn it on at the top of its page in the dashboard.
Invite the botDiscord
Open the bot invite link (asward-helper.store/auth/invite-bot). Discord asks which server the bot should join. Pick your server and confirm Discord’s prompts. Leave the “Administrator” box checked.
By adding the bot, you accept the Terms and Conditions and the Data Processing Agreement.
Sign inDiscord
If you’re not signed in yet, you’re taken to sign in with Discord next. Discord shows you which details Asward-Helper may access. Once you confirm, you’re in the dashboard and Server connected appears at the top.
Open the setupDashboard
On the Overview, click Start setup. The setup never opens by itself and runs as a separate page without the menu. At the top, under What kind of server is it?, choose the kind of server you run. This only changes the suggestions (protection level, ticket types, welcome message); it doesn’t set anything up. On the left you see the five steps and your progress, for example 1 of 5 done; if tickets are turned off, there are four. On a newly connected server, tickets start off: once you turn them on on the Tickets page, the ticket step is added. You choose the order.
WelcomeDashboard
In the Welcome new members step, choose In a channel or As a direct message, then the channel and the message. Use suggestion fills in a text that matches your kind of server. Save and continue saves the step. More on this: Welcome message and auto role.
Auto roleDashboard
In the Role for new members step, choose the role every new member gets. If it sits above the bot’s role, the setup warns you right away. How to fix that: Bot doesn’t assign the role.
ProtectionDashboard
In the Protect the server step, choose Gentle, Standard or Strict; Recommended marks the one that fits your kind of server. Word lists, exemptions and an existing log channel are kept. If something is already set up, the setup asks you first. Under Log moderation actions you choose the log channel; the step only counts as done once a log channel is set. Which level fits: Auto-moderation: the right level.
TicketsDashboard
In the Set up a ticket panel step, choose the channel, the ticket types and the Team role. Publish panel and continue posts the panel in Discord. The Free plan includes 1 ticket panel; if there’s already one, the setup doesn’t create a second. Everything else: Set up a ticket panel.
DoneDashboard
At the end, the setup shows what’s set up under Running now. A step you leave out with Skip stays open. On the Overview, First steps shows what’s still missing; under All steps, Set up takes you straight to the right page.
Stopped halfway? Every step is saved on its own. Continue later takes you to the Overview; at the bottom left under Help & guides (on phones the question mark at the top right), Restart setup opens the setup again. If you’ve hidden First steps on the Overview, the menu item of the same name in the help menu brings it back.
/help in a channel. The bot replies with an overview of its commands.Discord only lists servers where you’re allowed to add bots: as the owner or with “Administrator” or “Manage Server”. Otherwise, ask the server owner.

Some features are only available from Basic or Premium. Locked menu items show a lock; clicking one tells you which plan you need. There’s an overview on the homepage under Plans & pricing. This doesn’t lock the bot commands in Discord: they work on every plan, only the GTA RP commands need the Premium subscription and /suggest needs the Basic plan, because the suggestion lands in the suggestion channel from the dashboard. Some, like /rank or /temp, use the settings of their module, though. If a module is turned off, its commands only reply with a notice. You can turn polls, giveaways, embeds, reminders, sticky messages, temp channels and suggestions on and off on every plan – even the locked page shows the switch for it; their settings in the dashboard only work with the matching plan: without it, no channels are created from the trigger channel, /suggest accepts nothing, and the bot doesn’t post reminders or sticky messages from the dashboard page. The commands themselves stay. You choose which roles may use a command on every plan under Command permissions.
